Itinerary
Day 1 – Buenos Aires
Arrive in Buenos Aires, capital of Argentina, where you are met and transferred to your hotel, with guaranteed early check-in. Once you’re settled in, join your local guide to stroll the streets of elegant Recoleta, an upscale barrio where you find the final resting place of Eva Perón, the beloved “Evita,” in Recoleta Cemetery.

Day 2 – Buenos Aires
Today, visit the many landmarks of Buenos Aires, known as the “Paris of South America,” observing the European influence in the city’s architecture, cuisine and other facets of daily life. Visit Plaza de Mayo to learn about the people who made history there and see the buildings emblematic of their struggles and triumphs. Then, enjoy the city’s oldest residential neighborhood: San Telmo, walking along its cobble-stoned streets and discovering its antique shops and picturesque buildings with your private A&K guide. This evening, attend a dinner and tango show at renowned Rojo Tango, a cabaret designed to recall times gone by, and witness a performance full of passion and sensuality.

Day 4 – Bariloche
Explore the best-kept secrets of scenic Bariloche, a panoply of lush hills, rugged peaks and lakes reflecting a crisp blue sky. Then, join your guide for a low-intensity hike, listening to the sounds of the forest. Stop in the woods to enjoy freshly made mate, a favorite Argentine beverage, and learn the etiquette of enjoying it — a shared cultural ritual practiced daily by locals. This afternoon, visit a local brewery where a brewmeister shows you what makes beer from this region so unique, and enjoy a tasting.

Day 6 – Mendoza
After a relaxing morning at your hotel, transfer to the airport and fly to Mendoza, where you are met and privately transferred to your lodge.

Day 7 – Mendoza
Set out on a day-long celebration of Mendoza’s iconic wines and award-winning local winemakers, starting with a visit to Casa Vigil, winery of renowned vintner Alejandro Vigil, for a tasting. Sample wines that have received 100 points in The Wine Advocate, amid unique decor inspired by Dante’s Divine Comedy. Proceed to Mil Suelos, Spanish for 1,000 soils, for a tasting of their terroir-driven vintages. Proceed to Bodega Catena Zapata, the family winery of pioneering Argentine vintner Nicolas Catena, for lunch — a sumptuous gastronomic experience featuring paired wines, varietals that reflect Mendoza’s distinctive high-altitude terroir. Return to your lodge to enjoy the rest of your day at leisure.

Day 8 – Mendoza
Fill today with a visit to three more amazing wineries, this time venturing by bicycle through the picturesque Chacras de Coria and neighboring Vista Alba, crossing vineyards and fruit orchards, and rolling easily along tree-lined streets. Begin at Clos de Chacras, an antique winery built in 1921, for a visit and tasting. Once abandoned and now restored, this storied venue offers a firsthand journey through Mendoza’s wine history. Peddle onward to Finca & Bodega Carlos Pulenta, where you sample high-altitude vintages produced fifth-generation Argentine vintners. Conclude your cycling outing with a visit to Finca Decero, a one-of-a-kind vineyard, where each vine is nurtured by hand and the winemaking is without compromise. Enjoy a picnic, savoring freshly prepared food and fine wines al fresco in a pristine Andean mountain setting.

Day 9 – Iguazu Falls
After breakfast, fly to Iguazu Falls. Upon arrival on the Argentina side of the falls, you are met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 10 – Iguazu Falls
Today, begin your exploration of Iguazu Falls, taking in different vistas from the Argentine side. Walk above the falls through paths surrounded by tropical flora, butterflies and exotic birds. Venture onto a boardwalk that extends two-thirds of a mile over the river to Devil’s Throat, a roiling cataract that marks the border between Argentina and Brazil. Later, move within a few steps of the thundering cascades, feeling the refreshing spray it casts up and observing the beauty of the surrounding forest. Next, after an informative stop at Iguazu National Park Visitors Center, depart for Devil’s Gorge, where you stroll along boardwalks that offer spectacular views of the gorge. After lunch, spend your afternoon viewing magnificent panoramas from a trail above the upper Iguazu River.
